Myrna and Bill Casey together made the Rose Cottage Guest house Bed and Breakfast what it is today. Bill being a carpenter, and Myrna an artist and decorator, made for the perfect team creating this award winning establishment. Myrna is an avid gardener, her favorite garden flowers are Roses and the old fashioned perennials of her Grandmother's day. There are over a hundred roses of different types planted on the property from Old Garden scented roses to Hybrid Teas. Other interests of hers includes Genealogy (be sure and ask her where there are resources locally to research) and decorative painting of which you will find many areas of Rose Cottage done in her whimsical and romantic styles. Myrna is also active in many organizations such as Emerald City artisans, a stencil and decorative painters chapter of the Stencil Artisans League Inc., a national organization. She volunteers for St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary, is a member of Points Historical Society and has belonged to various garden clubs. Bill the other half of the Rose Cottage Innkeepers, keeps busy with building and remodeling, his main interest lies in finish carpentry, and the building of fine clocks and furniture. He also enjoys gardening and keeps the lawns well manicured. His special interest is the study of Civil War history. The Casey's live in their home on the same property as the Rose Cottage Guest House, they look forward to having you as their guests. |
